Welcome to Woodside Croft, located on the Heights above Strathpeffer in the Scottish Highlands.

We produce Shetland lamb, and AngusX store cattle.

EGG UPDATE January 2011 : Finally we have finished re-roofing, re-decking and painting the henhouses. We are planning to restock with hens Spring 2011.

Unfortunately, for the sake of the croft, we have had to leave the organic scheme. The first round of spraying is complete and the hen pens are now returning to grass, previously choked with nettles and thistles. We will, however, continue to use organic feed.

Blue Winter by Robert Francis

Winter uses all the blues there are.
One shade of blue for water, one for ice,
Another blue for shadows over snow.
The clear or cloudy sky uses blue twice-

Our croft is also home to the Strathpeffer Spa Soap Company. We have been making lovely natural handmade soaps and bath products from our own recipes since 2003. Our gentle soaps contain no animal products and are free from artificial additives. We add loads of natural ingredients to care for your skin and hair—pure essential plant oils and fragrances, herbs, spices, seeds, petals, and natural minerals. Woodside Shetland Lamb sold out for 2010
Your lamb is delivered to you in November/December, professionally butchered, bagged in portions, and ready for the freezer. A typical freezer pack requires approximately one freezer drawer and includes: Two shoulders boned and rolled, two legs cut into two portions each, the full range of chops, spare ribs, minced flank, and portions for stewing and soup.
